What is Juvéderm®?
JUVÉDERM® is the #1 selling collection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the U.S. Each product in the JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers adds volume to a different area of the face—without surgery. All JUVÉDERM® fillers are smooth, crystal-clear gels that are administered by injection in your aesthetic healthcare provider’s office.
Different formulations are approved to either volumize cheeks, smooth facial wrinkles and folds, smooth lines around the mouth, or plump the lips. The results are subtle and long-lasting.
JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® XC softens moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds by adding subtle volume around the nose and mouth in adults over the age of 21.
JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss and for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile in adults over 21.
JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® XC adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of perioral lines.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC smooths moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around your nose and mouth.

Products in the JUVÉDERM® Collection are FDA-approved and have been widely studied. Numerous clinical studies have been completed globally evaluating the safety and efficacy of Vycross® technology fillers. Please see below for more important safety information.
What is the Restylane family of products?
The Restylane line of injectable fillers temporarily adds volume to plump lips, lift cheeks, smooth wrinkles, fill in scars and under-eye hollows, and rejuvenate aging hands.
The primary ingredient in Restylane fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found naturally in the skin that attracts and holds water to help keep skin plump and hydrated.
Because it creates less swelling than other HA fillers, Restylane is also a preferred filler for tear troughs under the eyes—one of the most difficult areas to inject well.
- Restylane fillers are infused with the anesthetic lidocaine, to minimize pain during and after injection.
- If you’re unhappy with your results, an enzyme known as hyaluronidase can partially or completely dissolve hyaluronic acid dermal fillers within 24 hours. Restylane is among the easiest of HA fillers to dissolve.

Are Dermal Fillers better than Botox?
A lot of people think injectable botulinum toxins like Botox and Dysport are fillers, but they work in an entirely different way: while fillers add volume, neurotoxins like Botox relax muscles to smooth lines, wrinkles, and creases (and prevent more from forming).
Botox is FDA-approved to treat crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines, and can be paired with fillers during the same appointment for optimal facial rejuvenation results. During your consult, discuss your aesthetic goals with your provider to see which treatment is a better option.
Which filler is right for you?
As demand for fillers continues to skyrocket, the wide range of options available to patients can often feel confusing and overwhelming. With so many fillers to choose from, how do you know which one is best for you and your specific goals? Ultimately, that’s the responsibility of your injector (who should be knowledgeable about them all but may stock only certain brands), but it’s important to have a conversation with them about your desired results.
